‎The Hunger Games fanatics, here is an interesting way to look into things:

I got this idea from a few comments on a post here

In the stories, the characters are trying to question what kind of satisfaction could be claimed after watching people kill each other. People spend so much money and effort on watching the tributes finish each other off. Yet, here we are in present-day world, almost a month away from the theatrical release, anticipating an onscreen adaptation of the same story about people killing each other. Its like the books would go and say, “hey, have you even paid any attention?”

What is even more interesting is that by watching the film (the mere fact that its been turned into a movie and all the advertising connected to it), we seem to be confirming that the world we have now is similar to how it is in the books. We seem to be confirming that we are like the mad people of the Capitol, feasting on quite a sadistic show and participating on something the books has been trying to tell us not to do.

To be more specific, it seems as if the way to really live the purpose of what the books has been trying to tell us is to not watch the film, at all.

I don’t know. I think this paradox is quite interesting! Of course, I’ll still be watching. Hehe ;) But, thoughts?
